Local government funding to their Local Arts Agencies increased for the sixth consecutive year in 2017. 

State legislative arts appropriations increased in FY2017, after a slight drop in FY2016, from $340.9 million to $368.2 million (+8.0 percent). 

Federal appropriations to the National Endowment for the Arts remained at $148.0 million in 2017, after receiving a $2 million increase in 2016.
