A Statistical Report on the Campaign Revenues of the Nation’s United Arts Funds during Fiscal Year 2016. Throughout the summer of 2017, the Americans for the Arts Private Sector Initiatives department solicited responses to the FY2016 United Arts Fund Campaign Survey. Surveys were distributed to a total of 45 united arts funds by email. Throughout the summer, non-responders were contacted by phone and/or via email to solicit their participation, including the option to participate in an abbreviated version. In 2015, private sector giving to the arts, culture, and humanities—by individuals, foundations, and corporations—was $17.07 billion, up 7.0 percent (6.8 percent when adjusted for inflation) from a revised $17.23 billion in 2014. This marked the fourth consecutive year of growth and makes 2015 the highest arts contribution year ever, even when adjusted for inflation.
